Re : Grills
I have seen that some of you need a new grill for your Alliance.
I found some new reproduction grills on E-bay U.S., i have ordered one, and will report on their quality when it arrives.
These are for the 83-85 models, but may be able to be modified for the 86-87's.

Hi Geoffrey
is it this offer ?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RENAULT-ALLIANCE-GRILLE-SOLID-CHROME-OEM-35002913-/190757974905?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c6a0fb379&vxp=mtr

Honestly, I don't know how it is possible to modify a 85 to create a 86 or a 87 grill.
These spares are really differents.
But, I'm pretty exciting waiting to see the one you bought.

Yes, that is the listing.
I had them e-mail me a picture, and i hope i have pasted it to this post.
The listing also states that they ship to international destinations, so it may be possible for them to ship to France if the cost is not too much.
That's a very good news

Re : Grills
An update on the grille......
The first one arrived without a box, just shrink wrapped. As you can imagine, it was broken.:non:
I emailed the seller, he promptly send another one, this time it was boxed to protect it from damage:bravo:
It looks to be an old aftermarket item from Continental Auto Parts, Newark New Jersey. It is a nice, well built grille, good chrome plating, and solid construction.
I would recommend them for those who need a new grille.
My camera is at home, i will bring it tomorrow and snap some pictures.

So they seem to be serious. It is a good point
Have you asked them regarding 86 grills ?

Re : Grills
Cedric, yes, i did ask about 86-87 grilles. The man told me these would fit 83-87 Encore or Alliance.
Of course, we know that is not correct, but the label on the grille does say 83-87 Encore/Alliance
I will look at my 86 grille to see if there is any way it would work.
On a side note, i have Brenda's car primered, and i ordered paint and clearcoat today, 5c red metallic.
I hope the paint is a good match, as the last time i painted her, the color was not right.
I will post some pictures as i get her painted

Hello,
Do you have the right DUPONT code for your color?

Re : Grills
Yes, i believe i do, B8594 Dupont, and/or 3695 Ditzler.
When i spoke to the man mixing the paint, he looked up the paint code on his Dupont data base, and that # matched his information.
I will do a test spray before painting to be sure the color is correct

Re : Grills
I think you might be biased in your opinion, Cyrille
Eduardo may prefer white, Cedric, silver Metallic...Francois and myself midnight black
I think each color is fine, as long as it's on a Renault!
